Population Density

To have a base of regular visitors, the resort must be located near areas where population density is considerable. Using the BCmun.shp from the DMTI dataset, I was able to create an image in ArcMap showing the population density of B.C. This was then projected into NAD 1983 UTM10n and the resolution changed to 1065.868. The shapefile was then rasterized, transformed into ASCII and imported into IDRISI. The module FUZZY was applied in IDRISI with a monotonically increasing Sigmoidal curve with control points a= 11 which was the minimum population density and b= 4797 which was the maximum population density on the image.
